From Joanne McKenzie, MIFF Artistic Director, “For the last five years, it has been a MIFF tradition to start each of the four nights with a Student film. I’m proud to continue that tradition – it’s been a terrific crowd-pleaser. The four films are selected from the Grey Bruce Youth Film Festival, which is run by Nadia Danyluk the Youth Services Librarian in Owen Sound. Local libraries, including Meaford, participate in the festival. “These young film makers are so talented it’s hard to pick just four films. “I’m very excited about opening night, as this year’s student film is from Meaford.”
