MY Film Studio films at MIFF

Back in the summers of 2009 and 2010, Meaford Youth Film Studio (MY Film Studio) gave students the opportunity to learn the film creation process from start to finish during a unique summer camp. Students learned the principles of scriptwriting, storyboarding, location scouting, lighting, sound, filming, and editing, then had the opportunity to have their films shown on the big screen during the Meaford International Film Festival.

“No Room For A Scarecrow” was created by Samantha Blake, Martha Darby, Connor Henry, Erik Wagenarr and Sean Williams. This mockumentary takes a humourous, touching look at the trials of a Scarecrow facing fear, rejection and prejudice after staying on past the end of Meaford’s Scarecrow Invasion.
